Data Deletion

This page describes the procedure to request the deletion of personal data that Pacunex processes on behalf of the user or under instruction from a customer organization.

Automatic deletion via Meta

When a user has interacted with an organization using Pacunex through WhatsApp Business and has linked their Meta or Facebook account, they may revoke the granted permissions from:

Facebook → Settings → Apps and websites → the app of the organization you interacted with

Upon revocation, Meta automatically notifies Pacunex and the identifiable data linked to the Meta user is deleted.

Manual deletion (without Meta)

When the user did not use Meta or Facebook to connect, or wishes to delete data associated with a specific phone number, a request must be submitted to privacidad@pacusoft.com including the following information:

  • Phone number in international format (example: +593XXXXXXXXX).
  • Name of the organization with which the WhatsApp interaction took place.
  • Brief description of the data for which deletion is requested.

The request shall be processed within the timeframes set by the Ecuadorian LOPDP and confirmation shall be sent by email.

Deletion confirmation

In cases where Meta has sent an automatic callback, the user will receive a confirmation code (confirmation_code) which may be consulted to verify the status of the process.

Limitations

Certain data may be retained due to legal or administrative obligations (for example, billing records). In such cases, the data shall be anonymized so that it cannot be linked back to the user.

If you interacted with a company that uses Pacunex

That data belongs to the company you interacted with (it is the data Controller; Pacunex is the Processor). To exercise your right to deletion, contact them directly. If you cannot locate them, write to privacidad@pacusoft.com and we’ll help.
